I'm a Senior Digital Project Manager, UX Architect and Functional Analyst with 25 years experience. I've started 3 digital agencies and worked for 20 in the US and Canada. My project count is above 1000 and my many past clients include Starbucks, Sony, Nike, Adobe, Microsoft, Disney, Telus, IBM, Time Warner, Comcast, GlaxoSmithKline and CBS.
I was the CEO and co-founder of the startup LocalSolo.com, a highly curated talent network of over 10,000 employers and 27,000 top freelancers in major market cities around the world. In 2018 I sold LocalSolo to Communo.com. At Communo, my role was VP of Product, where I supervised the complete re-design and development of their online SaaS talent platform from version 1.0 to 2.0.
I'm the founder of the Vancouver Digital Project Managers industry group, now with over 2000 members. I'm credited online with coining the term "Agifall" in 2013 to describe combining Waterfall and Agile software development process, though not sure I was the first to say the word.
I've been a well known proponent of the digital freelance lifestyle, visiting 57 countries, surfing in 17 and speaking at PM and freelance conferences. I am a former member of the Canadian national diving team, professional high diver, Club Med trapeze artist and international FINA diving judge. I've also fundraised and personally helped construct an individual school house in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. In my spare time I'm an award winning photographer and have been exhibited and published in Sotheby's Magazine, BC Magazine, the Treviso Photographic Festival and many others. I'm also a vacation rental host in beautiful Ucluelet, BC.
