Marketers know that data is key to delivering exceptional customer experiences. But capturing, storing, and acting is incredibly complex. Pair that challenge with balancing personalized experiences with preserving consumer trust, and marketers find themselves in a difficult position.
In this session, Martin Kihn, SVP Strategy, Marketing Cloud at Salesforce, will be joined by Bobby Tichy, RVP, Strategy at Lev, to discuss how marketers can effectively utilize data to power their marketing efforts. From the value of customer data platforms, to the move to first person data, to data-driven AI strategies, they'll cover everything marketers want to know about getting the most out of their data.
Martin Kihn is SVP of Strategy for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, where he guides planning for the next generation of solutions for the #1 Marketing Cloud. Before joining Salesforce in 2018, he led the data-driven marketing practice as Research VP at Gartner, focusing on marketing data integration, and cross-channel analytics. Two-time winner of analyst awards, he was the firm's most-read blogger and a frequent speaker on marketing and advertising strategy.
Before that, he was VP and director of strategy and analytics at various Publicis Groupe agencies, including Digitas, specializing in digital marketing analytics. After earning his MBA from Columbia Business School, he worked for a time as a management consultant – an experience described in his book, House of Lies, which was the basis for a Showtime series of the same name that ran until 2017. His most recent book is "Customer Data Platforms: Use People Data to Transform the Future of Marketing Engagement" (Wiley), co-written with Chris O'Hara.
Bobby Tichy is a Regional Vice President of Sales at Lev. In his role, he focuses on helping companies maximize their investment in Salesforce and architecting solutions to ensure their business, technical and marketing goals are met. He's an old soul at heart--usually in bed by 7:30pm, loves starting conversations with "when I was your age," and already lives in Florida with half of the world's retirees. Outside of work, he's usually hanging out with his wife, Joni, and their three dachshunds, Lou, Sam & Norm, or plotting to take over the world (Pinky and the Brain style) with colleagues Cole Fisher and Nick Burggraf.
