Oracle Volunteers Remain Committed to Protecting Our Planet

We have all felt the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and, not surprisingly, Oracle's Focus on Environment initiative felt them, too. At the beginning of 2020, Oracle was gearing up for an action-packed Focus on Environment, for the first time ever spanning two months, March and April. Unfortunately, by mid-March employee-led Oracle Volunteering projects planned for March and April were being postponed or canceled, like so many gatherings and activities around the world.

The good news: Oracle Volunteers are passionate about the environment and were taking action even before Focus on Environment began. In February, Oracle Volunteers teamed up with Going to School and students to form a group nearly 200-strong, and they cleaned up Juhu Beach in Mumbai, India. Early in March, Oracle Volunteers in Bangaluru, India, and SayTrees got together to care for more than 650 saplings.
