CX vs. UX: what's the difference?

While user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) aren't the newest acronyms born out of the digital world, they're arguably the most important. The two terms are often confused and used interchangeably. While not mutually exclusive, there are important distinctions to make about CX vs. UX. 
TL;DR: UX is a part of CX. CX is a 360°, holistic view of the customer journey and seeks to fill in empathy gaps that UX might leave out.
