Deciding on the flexfield structure is important in any organization implementing Oracle Cloud Applications. An extensible flexfield is similar to a descriptive flexfield in that it provides a customizable expansion space that implementors, such as Oracle Cloud Applications customers, can use to configure additional attributes (segments) without additional programming. Once extensible flexfields are enabled, it's essential that they're available for reporting.
