Europe led the way with data protection reforms when it introduced its General Data Protection Regulations in 2018. At the time, there was a hope that GDPR was writing a lot of established best practice into law, and that businesses would see improved performance from their data as a result. Almost 2 years down the line, we'll review GDPR's real-world effects, and whether companies in the US, Brazil, and Australia can look forward to the same as similar laws become effective.
