Even though many kids are back in school, there are still a few weeks left for nonprofits to make the most of summer. Major nonprofits like The Human Society of the United States (HSUS) have found that texting can be a great tool for boosting donations any time of year. At a recent Nonprofit Technology Conference, Ellen Pascale explained, "At HSUS, fundraising texts last year averaged a click-through rate 20 times greater than the average nonprofit fundraising email and a response rate 10 times higher."
