I’m a senior board executive and entrepreneur with significant experience in organisational transformation, board leadership, and business growth in global digital media markets, the technology sector, and business consulting services.

I have built businesses in all major media platforms and in many markets including the US and EMEA in a career focused on the interactions between consumers and brands, highlights include successfully launching the Guardian in the USA and Bloomberg Media in the Middle East. Digital platforms are at the centre of this intersection and my 20-year ‘digital first’ experience extends to large-scale transformations and fast growth scale-ups, including advising on the organisational redesign at brands such as Tescos and bodies like the NHS, to doubling the turnover at SEO agency MediaVision in 18 months.

My career has been built on a clear philosophy that good business delivers growth for people, profit, and the planet. To achieve this balance I have taken a people-first leadership approach and built significant executive and non-executive organisational development experience to deliver business growth (scaling Freeformers and Bloomberg Media into 5 new European markets) and restructuring challenges (reorganising the balance between print and digital resourcing at the Guardian). Plus a strong track record in leading organisations to help improve society through achieving B Corp status (at Freeformers), donating time and resources to community support (at The Guardian/Bloomberg and MediaVision), personally mentoring young entrepreneurs, and acting as a charity board trustee.

Finally, I believe life is about more than work and managed a youth rugby team for over 10 years, mentored young businesses, and recently successfully opened a sustainable, luxury cottage holiday retreat in Cornwall, while helping several local Cornish-based entrepreneurs to launch their service-based companies as partners.
