As the VP and GM of Databases at Google, I oversee the P&L, engineering, product management, and UX for a diverse and market-leading portfolio of cloud database services. I have more than 20 years of experience in building and leading high-performing teams, delivering scalable and reliable cloud solutions, and driving value innovation and customer satisfaction.
Before joining Google, I was the VP of Analytics at AWS, where I was responsible for the AWS analytics portfolio, including Amazon Redshift and Amazon Elasticsearch Service. I also co-founded and served as the CEO of Zend Technologies, a pioneer and leader in PHP. I have been recognized as one of the founding fathers of the web (Mashable), one of the most visionary tech CEOs (InternetNews.com), and one of the most innovative IT people to watch (Computerworld).
