Barry is “Chief Problem Solver” and a founding Principal of Blanton Turner, a Seattle–based property management firm providing multi–family and student housing developers and owners with real estate solutions for a new economy.
Since beginning his career in 1980, Barry has become one of the most influential property management professionals in the Pacific Northwest, known for turning challenges into opportunities on a daily basis. With his down-to-earth communications approach, Barry is a widely considered a leading authority on the ever-changing complexities of the property management industry.
Barry's strength is understanding people and establishing what it takes to make people (both individuals and the teams they work with) successful, and the successful implementation of action plans. Barry's primary focus is on vision, strategy and leadership.
Prior to founding Blanton Turner, Barry was a partner in two real estate management companies in Eugene, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. He is a Certified Property Manager and a Principal Broker in Washington and Oregon. Barry is highly active in the industry locally as well as at the state and federal levels. He served in 2010 as the President of Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter 27 (Western Washington) and was honored as CPM of the Year in 2009.
Barry currently serves as the Co-Chair on the Board of Directors for The Alliance for Pioneer Square; Member of the Pioneer Square Business Improvement Area; Board Member of the Seattle Investment Fund; and as Committee Member of the King County Right-sized Parking Committee.
