A calm, conscientious and hardworking person who can work under pressure and is motivated by challenges.
After completing a post master’s degree in NLP in France, I worked at Maluuba (a startup based in Canada that later got acquired by Microsoft) for three years. At Maluuba, we focused on developing a personal assistant that was integrated into millions of smart devices (phones, tv, cars, etc.). My main role was to develop and maintain the French NLP system, but I was also responsible for customizing and improving English NLP solutions for various customers. During my time there, I also led the development of a multilingual phonetic matching project, that is now open source, and was crucial for upstream NLP tasks because we often had to work with noisy ASR providers.
I then decided to do a PhD in NLP to further investigate fundamental issues in the field. During my PhD I mainly focused on investigating the inherent instability of word embeddings through several linguistic features. My work led to several publications in top NLP conferences.
