I'm the founder of Coursecheck.com, a SaaS business that helps training companies and L&D teams harness the power of learner feedback. Prior to that, I was the owner of Blueprint Management Systems, a boutique business intelligence consultancy which we sold to itelligence AG, an SAP services business, in 2012.
Having built one company and now working on a second, I know how vital it is to attract and retain talented and ambitious people. My management philosophy is to give people guidance but also space to take risks, make their own decisions and the chance to learn from the odd mistake without fear of failure. I know how destructive it can be to ignore problems. And when things go well, how imortant it is to acknowledge individual contributions and find ways to thank people, not just financially.
