I was a 7th and 8th-grade social studies teacher for 11 years. In 2010, I helped co-author a proposal that brought one device for every student to the social studies department. During this rollout, it became clear that devices alone would not improve student learning. The 1:1 rollout exposed the inefficiencies and data problems in education. So we built Otus to solve these issues. I used Otus in my classroom until 2018 - when we were ready to take off and start further growing Otus. Otus empowers educators to continuously improve education and accelerate student learning outcomes by gathering, visualizing, and acting on real-time student-growth data.
