I am Global Managing Partner at TwentyFirstCenturyBrand (21CB), where I lead our North American business. We partner directly with founders, CEOs and CMOs at some of the biggest and most admired brands in the world as well as some of the fastest-rising stars on everything from foundational brand strategy to iconic brand design & identity to marketing transformation.
Over a 20+ year career, I’ve personally shaped strategy for global icons like Airbnb, Disney, Google, Netflix, Nike, Pepsico and Walmart, as well as the next generation of ambitious brands like Headspace, Instacart, Chime and Brex. I believe that the best strategy is wildly creative, and the best creative is rigorously strategic.
Before I found my true calling in brand strategy, I started my career at McKinsey & Co., working with clients including the NBA, MoMA and Jazz at Lincoln Center. My experience in management consulting shaped my conviction that brand must drive business growth.
I’ve shared my perspectives about brand on podcasts (On Strategy Showcase, Now Brands Talk, The AdCast), in print (Fast Company, Adweek, Authority Magazine), and as a judge (The Shorty Awards).
I was born in Montreal, raised in LA, forged in NY, and tempered in SF. My degrees from Yale in Art History and Law are useful only when arguing the true meaning of beauty.
