I write books (NY Times best selling Get Out of Your Own Way, upcoming children's book Tea Time with Daddy, upcoming Built Through Courage), coach on Growth Day (growthday.com/hollis), host a podcast called Rise Together (10M downloads in 2020), speak regularly on mindset/leadership and have a mini schnauzer who knows no tricks.

I am a member of the Motion Picture Academy and have previously sat on an innovation board called Fandango Labs, on the board of Will Rogers Motion Pictures Pioneers, the board of foster care charity Austin Angels and the board of Pepperdine's Institute for Entertainment, Media and Culture.

I believe in the importance of variety in a career as a prerequisite for considering any candidate -- having had jobs in Research, Publicity, Talent Management, Grassroots Marketing, Brand Management, Retail Strategy, Technology Innovation and Sales has rounded my expertise and affords an informed, solution-oriented macro view of any business.

I am the father of four children, an adoptive father and four-time foster dad. As a family we support philanthropy in the foster care and the teen/transitional homelessness space. I'm a nerd about sports memorabilia, ran 2000 miles this past year and am training for my first Iron Man. I live and work out of Austin, TX... or the wilderness just outside of town.
