David Smith is a pioneer in senior living and dedicated his life to improve the well-being of seniors. At 35, he became a developer, co-owner, and manager of The Gatesworth, McKnight Place, and Parc Provence, senior living communities nationally recognized for quality and innovation.

Over decades of studying the senior housing sales process at his own properties as well as countless third-party consulting as CEO/Founder of One On One, David developed his proprietary sales approach that combines empathy-based sales, data-driven metrics and the science of psychology of change - Prospect Centered Selling®. This approach provided the foundation to develop Sherpa, a SaaS-based CRM and sales enablement platform which he co-founded in 2014.

The exploration of this ground-breaking process and the Sales Hero Manifesto is captured in “It’s About Time: How to Grow Revenue with Prospect-Centered Selling,” a best-selling Amazon book that was released in 2021 with Lionsgate.

Smith is currently working on a number of innovative projects including a feature-length documentary film to illustrate the complex and challenging emotions that face our elders.
