At Google I am the GM for the Applied AI team in Google Cloud, which builds cutting-edge conversational AI agent applications. In prior roles at Google I lead Ads Privacy and Safety, as well as Reliability Engineering for the largest consumer services in the world, including Search, Maps and Ads. Before Google, I was a General Manager at AWS, leading Elastic File System, an enterprise storage service. Before AWS I spent over 2 decades as the co-founder and CEO/CTO of 2 enterprise SaaS companies, focused in the sales enablement and productivity space. My passion, and good fortune, is to lead teams of the smartest groups of people in the world, using software to solve complex and challenging problems that make companies perform better and enhance people's lives. My key role in that is to define a clear north star and vision, hire and support the most amazing people, and keep the team engaged and energized through the hard work of executing a plan.
