Eric began as a Sports and Entertainment Lawyer, advising clients in their day-to-day business affairs. After working for United Talent Agency and Signature Films, in 1999 he returned to San Francisco and opened Farber & Company Attorneys, P.C. As managing partner of Farber & Company, Eric has handled dozens of high profile cases and clients. In 1999, he became intellectual property counsel to Amaru Entertainment, Inc. (the successor-in-interest to the late Tupac Shakur). Eric has represented dozens of top athletes, actors, musicians, film and television production companies, media companies and start-ups. He is a frequent speaker on topics of Right of Publicity, the Film and Television Business, Sports and the Law, Media and Financial Fraud in the Sports Business.

His personal practice still centers on the day to day needs for Athletes and Entertainers and his firm has become the leader in California Pro-Athlete Workers Compensation.

He serves on several company advisory boards and is a former Commissioner on the Culture Affairs Board in Oakland appointed by Mayor Dellums.
