Fernando Romero is Senior Vice President, U.S. Digital Advertising Sales at TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media, content, and culture platform. Romero leads national ad sales revenue for the company’s digital portfolio of broadcast and cable networks, including entertainment, news and sports across UNIVISION, UNIMÁS and TUDN, the No. 1 U.S. Spanish-language sports network // UFORIA MUSIC, the #1 U.S. Spanish-language audio platform // VIX, the largest global Spanish-language streaming platform and Apple TV’s App of the year // Vix-powered FAST Channels // UNOW, direct-to-consumer linear streaming app.

Romero is a highly dynamic executive with more than 30 years of experience across media, technology, and advertising. He is a passionate thought leader who views media ecosystems, innovative multi-channel marketing, and diverse consumer audiences as key drivers for business growth. With expertise in integrated advertising strategies, he scales revenue across multiple lines of business while adeptly navigating today's modern media landscape. Currently, Romero serves as an IAB Video Board Member, shaping policies and standards within the digital video ecosystem, and is also a member of 212 NYC Digital.

Before joining TelevisaUnivision in 2023, Romero served as Head of Revenue for Fuse Media, where he led sales and ad operations across national cable, Video, Social, OTT, CTV, Content and Experiential; along with the company’s social impact partnerships with AdCouncil, IPSY, Sofar Sounds, and Grand Park LA. He was a 2022 Cablefax Diversity List Honoree.

Before joining Fuse, Romero served as Head of Global Partnerships at Issuu, the world’s largest digital publishing and discovery platform, backed by KDDI Ventures and Sunstone Capital. Additionally, he led sales and marketing at NBCUniversal’s DailyCandy, served as Head of Digital for Rainbow Media (AMC, WE, Fuse/MSG network), and held various sales roles at Viacom, InStyle, and Gilt City.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stony Brook University. He is a proud Ecuadorian-American, born and raised in New York, where he resides with his wife and two children. He is an avid Triathlete/Runner, having completed 200+ races including 18x NYC Marathons (active streak), and is a 70.3 Ironman finisher.
