Dr. George Mastorakis received his B.Eng (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology), UK in 2000, his M.Sc. in Telecommunications from UCL (University College London), UK in 2001 and his Ph.D. in networking technologies from University of the Aegean, Greece in 2008. He is serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science and Technology at Hellenic Mediterranean University and as a Director of E-Business Intelligence Laboratory. He is co-founder of Mentionlytics (a SaaS-based social media moniroting application) and has actively participated in a large number of European Commission (FP6, FP7, HORIZON2020) research projects. He has also acted as a technical manager in many research projects funded by GSRT (General Secretariat for Research & Technology, Greece). He has more than 300 publications at various international conferences proceedings, workshops, scientific journals and book chapters in IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley and Taylor & Francis publishers. He is Author/Editor of 10 "Books". His research interests include interactive marketing, new technologies and marketing, mobile computing, Internet of Things, radio resource management, cognitive radio networks, energy efficient networks and cloud computing.
