Acquired Mahlmann Media in April 2021, rebranded to Skies Above Media. Skies Above Media is an LA based boutique OOH media owner and operator. Founded nearly 30 years ago by industry legend Richard Mahlmann, Mahlmann Media has over 150 locations across LA, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Phoenix, and Detroit.

Glyn Williams began his advertising career on the OOH team at Starcom Worldwide in 2002. He cut his teeth in the industry the best way possible – learning from OOH industry on accounts like Miller Brewing, Gap, Discover Card, and Disney, among others. It was on the Gap account where Glyn quickly developed three reputations that have stuck – every account he touched saw revenue increases; raising his hand to do the work no one else wanted; and getting things done.

In 2007, after a stint working on the media planning team for Kraft, Glyn joined Kinetic, after they won the Coors account. He later helped work on the media pitch to win the consolidated MillerCoors business. In March, 2011, Glyn from Manager at Kinetic to a Manager at Outdoor Advertising Group, running the Chicago office of the agency group with Kinetic that handled IPG’s OOH. A year later he was promoted to Director overseeing the Midwest region including Detroit office clients Chrysler and Kaiser Permanente.

In 2013, Glyn moved to Los Angeles to help launch IPG’s own OOH agency, Rapport. Again, Glyn showed his strengths as someone who rolls up their sleeves to get things done, while identifying talent and managing teams to the best potential and keeping clients happy. In six years at Rapport, Glyn grew the LA office from a ragtag team of 5 people billing $25MM in revenue to nearly 30 people billing over $100 Million in revenue across 45 clients including Amazon, Netflix, Sony Pictures, Hulu, GoPro, Patron, CA Lottery, et al. He was promoted to VP, West Region in 2018.

After over 16 years at OOH agencies, placing media buys in well over 150 markets, and contributing to or leading a team that won 7 awards, Glyn left Rapport in 2019 to pursue other interests. He joined the Mahlmann Media team to help turn around a historic OOH media sales organization. He first joined as Chief Revenue Officer and became President in July 2020 to allow Sue Mahlmann to ease toward retirement.

Glyn lives in Playa del Rey, with his wife Dr. Kathryn Moore Williams, PhD and enjoys cooking, collecting wine, travel, and reading.
