👋 Hi. I’m Jess. I have a passion for human resources, talent acquisition, technology and personal and professional development. I started a blog (Workology) in 2005 and left my HR executive role in 2009 diving into entrepreneurship.
My mission is up-leveling, upskilling, and upgrading new managers and the HR profession especially high-performing Human Resources leaders. We focus on providing on amazing digital and online learning and resources.
I’ve been interviewed and quoted by publications including HR Magazine, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Forbes and The Economist. In fact, Forbes listed me among the top 50 most influential social power users.

In my work, I spend my time doing the following:
✨ Helping HR and workplace leaders stretch and grow outside their comfort zones with our UpSkill HR and our executive coaching programs.
✨ Providing HR certification preparation training for the SPHR, aPHR, PHR, SPHRi, aPHRi, PHRi, SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams with Ace the HR Exam. We have a 95% pass rate 🎉
✨ Writing, speaking, podcasting, and sharing resources for HR, Talent Acquisition and New Managers. I partner with companies to elevate their reach to the HR community.
✨Consulting & advising HR and recruiting technologies and service with a focus on marketing & strategy
I live in Austin, TX. I travel around the world talking about HR, recruiting and technology.
