As a Group Manager of Product Research at BILL, I lead a small team of UX and design researchers who work on developing and improving financial automation software for small businesses.
With over 20 years of experience in web and content globalization, I'm an expert, author, consultant, and speaker in the field. I co-founded Byte Level Research, the first firm dedicated to best practices and insights on how to overcome linguistic and cultural barriers on the Internet. I also write the Web Globalization Report Card, an industry benchmark that evaluates the global readiness of more than 200 leading websites every year. I apply my knowledge and skills in web and software globalization, localization, internationalization, and user testing to ensure that products meet the needs and expectations of customers around the world.
I'm also passionate about protecting animals and the environment, and I co-founded Ashland Creek Press, a publishing imprint that focuses on books that promote environmental awareness and animal rights. I am the author of The Tourist Trail, an eco-thriller set in Patagonia and Antarctica, and its sequel Where Oceans Hide Their Dead. I am a vegan and an advocate for a more compassionate and sustainable world.
