Kai-Hsun Chen

Kai-Hsun is an active committer and Project Management Committee member in Apache Submarine, an open-source Machine Learning platform at Apache Software Foundation. Additionally, he is an interdisciplinary researcher with multiple publications in international conferences as the first author. His research projects focus on real-world systems including Hadoop and Linux Kernel (eBPF). Currently, Kai-Hsun is pursuing his master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and he will graduate in Dec. 2022.

His interests focus on computer systems, including Distributed System, Linux Kernel, and Machine Learning infrastructure.
