I am passionate about sustainable business solutions and opportunities for Tax to drive value for businesses, society and communities. Governments around the world are increasingly using Tax as a lever to incentivize clean and renewable energy investment and to help regulate carbon, plastics, and other consumption/emissions-based market activities. As Americas Sustainability and ESG Tax Leader, I lead teams and work with colleagues around the globe to help clients identify and evaluate Sustainability funding opportunities and ESG reporting requirements. I also help clients assess how to infuse tax into Sustainability strategies and internal risk management and control frameworks.
Given the profound challenges we face as a society related to the environment and the critical role that businesses can play, EY is increasingly working with our clients to help them become more sustainable. In FY22, EY US worked with more than 2,300 clients on their sustainability journey and executed nearly 7,500 engagements. We continue to bring together multidisciplinary teams across our service lines, sectors and third-party alliances to meet our clients’ needs and help them adapt to a rapidly changing market landscape.
