I am the Founder and Creative Director of Golden LYT Photography LLC - a headshot photography company based in the Chicagoland area. I am proud to capture a diverse portfolio including Professional Headshots, Weddings, and Fine Art Portraiture. I intentionally involve you in every stage of the process, handcraft detailed ensembles to complement your vision, and combine the medium of art with business to emphasize that there is beauty in realness. My goal is to do what it takes to make your vision a reality and your beauty illuminate.
I chose the tagline ‘See Yourself in a New Light’ because the media makes it overwhelmingly easy for us to cast a shadow on our self-worth, accomplishments, and progress. Videos and images are knowingly distorted and still have an incredibly negative impact on our self-worth and body appreciation. This is why I uplift you in every session and remind you to appreciate you for you.
Like many of you, I am also guilty of feeling defeated and rejected by the media. Sometimes, it feels inescapable. Even as a two-time alumna from The University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance and a Masters of Science in Management, I often felt like my progress wasn’t good enough. Suddenly, I was trapped in a place where I had to constantly remind myself of the importance of also seeing myself in a new light. Thus, Golden Lyt Photography LLC was born. I aim to ensure that you will never have to cast a shadow on your true self to achieve your dreams.
The truth is, I never saw myself as a full-time photographer. After many rejections from what I thought was my purpose, I realized my why and actually understood how my journey was leading me here all along. Behind the lens, I found an immense joy in creatively capturing others' essences and the little moments that led people like you to a photography session with me. As the CEO and Creative Director of Golden LYT Photography, I have been on both sides of the camera - for years as a dancer and now as your lead photographer. With this unique perspective, I capture moments that we may often easily take for granted.
As a dancer, I found the beauty and strength in movement. As a business professional, I was driven to overpower any obstacle. As a student, I rediscovered the gift and joy of celebrations. As a photographer, I united with my purpose and casted an unashamed new light on this artistry.
