I am a Technology Executive with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analytics, automation, open source and software delivery across multiple disciplines including digital transformation, mobile network and access technologies, multimedia and customer experiences, and service operation. I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Artificial Neural Networks, and an MBA for Executives from the Wharton Business School. I am currently the Director of Engineering at Google Cloud. In this role, I support telcos and enterprise customers in their journey to deploy AI-driven, GenAI-inspired and cloud-powered autonomous networks and intelligence solutions. I was previously the Vice President of Network Analytics and Automation at AT&T Labs. I led research, architecture, analytics, development, automation and finished services in support of Network Engineering and Operation, Consumer and Business Marketing and Local Regions.
I have over 100 technical publications in machine learning and AI, and I am the author of the AI speech book entitled, "Artificial Neural Networks for Speech Analysis/Synthesis (Chapman & Hall, 1994)". I am also the editor of a recent book on "Artificial Intelligence for Autonomous Networks". Find them both on Amazon. I am a recipient of 205 US patents, the AT&T Science & Technology Medal, and the IEEE Fellow award. I have given numerous keynotes on the role of AI and GenAI in transforming the Telcos and the enterprise business at large.
As a passionate Entrepreneur and changing agent, I have founded and co-founded several technology, real-estate and dental businesses including QVoice, Bridgepointe Family Dentistry, LLC, Bridgepointe Dental, LLC, M&S Enterprises, LLC and Bridgewater Professional Group, LLC. I have served as a board member of several institutions including the Open Network Foundation and the International Computer Science Institute.
