Melanie Kentish is an award-winning Social Content Director with extensive entertainment experience and over 15 years working in the social space. Mel understands what it takes to participate in culture in a way that authentically resonates with audiences on their native platforms.
Mel was previously Managing Partner of Gleam Futures, managing the strategies of social talent such as Flossie, Paula Sutton, Hand Luggage Only and Craig Mitch as well as campaigns for a wealth of household name brands.
Prior to Gleam, Mel was Global Influencer Director of Sky, responsible for creating and managing a 200 strong ambassador programme consisting of creators designed to bring fresh appeal to Sky from the under 35 audience. As well as working on some of the best entertainment shows such as Gangs of London, House of The Dragon, Euphoria, Bulletproof, Brassic, Save Me and Riveria, Mel also managed cinema, products, mobile and broadband.
Mel is passionate about representation, ensuring content is authentically engaging, creating culture. At Sky, she introduced 50% diversity to all ambassador work and has since gone on to overhaul the Gleam talent roster. She also champions the labelling of filters on social content, currently lobbying government to ensure the next generation are presented with much more inclusive beauty standards.
