I was elected to serve as State Representative for the 132nd Legislative District in November 2012, and am currently serving my sixth term. My biggest priorities are improving education for students in Parkland and Allentown, enhancing mental health service for those in need, while reducing the stigma which surrounds those who suffer from mental illness, and job creation. In 2020, I was elected by my colleagues as Caucus Administrator. In 2022, I was elected as House Majority Chairman. Both of these are leadership roles that give me additional opportunity to positively impact my colleagues and constituents.
I'm also a published author. In 2014, I wrote a non-fiction book, "Tweets and Consequences: 60 Social Media Disasters in Politics and How You Can Avert A Career-Ending Mistake." My fiction book, "Redemption," was published in June 2018.
