A generalist who is capable across many realms, having run distributed servers and platforms across numerous data-centres across the globe, providing low latency, performant and cost effective solutions. From crimping cable, to configuring the network stack and building servers and the applications deployed on those servers. To world class load balancing and backup solutions. Including the subsequent migration of these services into Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Heroku, and finally into Google Cloud (GCP); additionally completed migrations of deployments from Rackspace and Azure into GCP.
Proficient in Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Heroku and Azure. A big fan of Kubernetes and the server-less movements; always looking to improve CI/CD and release pipelines (and the related people processes) to ensure that you can release more often, with lower risk and better visibility. Through mentoring and architectural discussion with partners in Engineering and Product organizations, I look to improve the developer experience (DX) by ensuring that the ability to fail fast and have improved visibility are provided, including regular interactions to confirm planning, control, organization and feedback are met to provide all included the best platform possible to succeed.
