In August 2023, I retired after 40 years in the tech industry. That was my second retirement. My first retirement was in June 2017, after I spent 32+ years with IBM. 20+ of those years were in executive roles.
After joining IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, I built supply chain, procurement, planning, sales operations, manufacturing, fulfillment, and finance skills. I was vital in integrating pre and post-sales execution operations for IBM while driving operational excellence from quote to cash.
Next, I joined Lenovo, a global hardware and solutions company dealing in all devices: phones, PCs, servers, edge devices, gaming, and supercomputers. While at Lenovo, I was the Chief Operating Officer and was instrumental in the transformation of the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) by implementing new technologies such as blockchain and AI into daily operations, placing the supply chain at the forefront of Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider (CSP) customer relationships and instilling a talent focus while nurturing a people-first culture.
I'm currently on these boards:
◼ Supply Chain Leaders in Action (SCLA) is an association of Distribution Business Management consisting of executive leaders seeking strategic ideas and thought leadership to improve supply chain and logistical operations.
◼ The Gartner Executive Advisory Board (EAB) is an exclusive group of influential global operations executives from leading companies. The EAB develops, promotes, and progresses the discipline of supply chain management to enable current and future supply chain leaders to impact business and society.
I am also a Trust Your Supplier (TYS) business advisor. TYS is a start-up that provides one SaaS solution for supplier life cycle and risk management across the enterprise, enabling business divisions to collaborate on risk mitigation, cost reduction, and preparation for ever-changing supply chain regulations.
My husband and I live in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, with our two dogs, Oakley & Maddie 🐶
