Rhiana Spring is an award-winning international human rights expert and entrepreneur. As part of the United Nations, the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and diverse legal teams, Rhiana has defended the most vulnerable and spearheaded multinational human rights projects across four continents. She has helped build the human rights legal framework for military operations across the African continent; trained governments across West Africa on human rights; assisted in defending survivors of domestic violence in the courts of Argentina; and challenged gender inequalities in businesses in the Philippines. She has been part of teams monitoring and protecting human rights across 18 countries.
In 2021, Rhiana founded Spring ACT – Action. Compassion. Technology. – empowering people to take action and help eliminate global social injustices. Together with her team, they launched "Sophia" – the world's first chatbot empowering survivors of domestic violence to gather potential evidence and seek help in every country in the world. For her work, Rhiana has been awarded by the President of Switzerland with the Swiss Future Prize and received amongst others the Global Impact Award, the Female Founder Newcomer Award and the Prize for Innovation in Global Security: www.springact.org
