* Served as Organizing Director for Proposition 47 in California--resulted in significant reduction of California prison population
* Led successfully NAACP Criminal Justice reform efforts in: Pennsylvania, California, Georgia and Illinois
* Designed fair hiring practices that were adopted and implemented by Fortune 500 to expand employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated people
* Led the first successful state-based campaign to equalize penalties between crack and powder cocaine
* Provided training and technical assistance to state-based criminal justice reformers across the country, including advocates who:
- successfully reduced penalties for drug offenses in Mississippi
- eliminated the Rockefeller drug laws in NY
- worked to restore voting rights for formerly incarcerated people in Alabama
