👋 Hi, I am Sachin Jha.
🎓 I am currently a master's student at Ivey Business School at Western University in Canada pursuing my MSc in Digital Management. Intrigued with finance and technology, I am constantly looking for ways to bridge the gap between business functions and technology through better management. At Ivey, I am also the Vice President of Communications at the Ivey Capital Markets Club/ Fund where the role sees me adapting as a leader, team player, marketer and communicator. I am also a financial analyst at the club, putting my financial skills to the test and learning more about various models and techniques used to analyze company stocks.
🎓 I successfully completed my bachelor’s in BSc (Hons) Banking, Finance and Management at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. Passionate about consulting, entrepreneurship and technology, I am a continuous learner who is excited about seeing things from different points of view.
🏠 Being originally from India, I have had a very diverse childhood. Canada is the seventh country I have lived in. Chronologically, these countries include Australia, Singapore, India, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, England and Canada.
📈 I am passionate about consulting, value investing, technology and entrepreneurship, I have had a couple of start-up experiences before arriving in Canada. The first was a personal training venture which I started back in high school and the second was a sneaker store which I started during my bachelor's degree, both ventures were operated in England. The main reason I started these ventures is because I like to exercise my curiosity by learning things with hands-on experience and by implementing my educational learnings. I love problem-solving & analysis of numerics, and their use in finding the logic behind things. I’ve seen great value in supplementing my education with practical experience, and feel that it has made me an innovative thinker.
⌚️ In my free time, I love to push my limits at the gym. I am a huge sports enthusiast, I love to play cricket whenever I can (I have also had the privilege to represent the United Arab Emirates in international cricket). Lastly, I am no engineer but when it comes to Formula 1, I do consider myself to be one! I have been passionately following F1 for more than a decade now!
