The true beginning to my professional career began in the summer of 2003 when I started a design and manufacturing facility in Delafield, WI making a unique class III medical device. The company was called MobiLife and it manufactured an all aluminum power wheelchair that had a 22" seat elevator option. The purpose of the design was to give a powerchair user the height needed to live in a world built for standing. Take a moment and reflect on how much of our world is optimized for standing or walking. Counter tops, steps, closets, high top tables, microwaves, stove, upper cabinets, and most entry level positions like running a cash register or stocking shelves in a store. Beyond ones environment, there is also a psychological barrier to overcome, and that's having a conversation with someone at eye level. With this device, the day to day living needs of anyone sitting were met with a greater sense of equality.

This business was forced to close in 2008 but my mission to help people through meaningful design will never change. Working in this industry has etched within my heart a life goal to always remain in a field that will allow me to help people. The last 10 amazing years of my career has focused on the biomechanical intricacies of seating and position with the Comfort Company and now Permobil. My professional passion has evolved to try and understand sitting comfort and sitting health and it has carried me on a global quest to learn from the best doctors, clinicians, therapists, and seating specialists. It matters not what industry you are from, if you want to talk sitting, give me a call.
My latest venture has been in my dreams for seven years, in active product development for three years, and only one more year until our product will go to market. I have been developing from the ground up the most innovative, influential, and relevant "office" chair that exudes true human comfort in an award winning beautiful package. If all goes well, the contract furniture industry will be asking themselves a lot of tough questions regarding the human impact that their chairs have caused people to endure for the last 20 plus years. I am beyond excited to bring new messaging and a new chair to the masses. I hope you like what my dreams and passions have created.
