What do you get when you combine digital marketing, teaching and global travel? A triple whammy!

The digital marketeer:
Digital marketing has ignited my spark for creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. Breathing life into deflated brands and visually seeing ideas come to life is what sets my soul on fire! Using creativity acquired from traveling and people skills acquired through teaching has allowed me to connect and build an online presence for brands I truly believe in. Working in the fast-paced industry of digital marketing not only keeps you on your toes but challenges you, pushes you to stay up to date with the latest trends, and makes you find solutions to problems you didn’t know existed.

The educator:
With this being said, studying education allowed me to learn skills that no other industry would. Apart from wanting to be an influence to positive change, teaching has given me patience, understanding, and compassion to understand people, read situations, and change tactics in order to best suit my goal. Analyzing and constantly assessing situations is what determines success or mistakes (because there’s no such thing as failure) and this is the core to not only education but most fields of work.

The traveler:
Being a dual passport holder (EU and South African) has allowed me to travel the world and explore how education and marketing are perceived across the world. We tend to live in a box that doesn’t stretch further than our immediate world, not realizing that there is so much to learn from other cultures and people across the world. Lessons I’ve learned from living and working abroad have taught me things no book or degree could have.

In a nutshell, I’m pretty passionate about the things I believe in. The world needs more people and fewer humans so I’m just a girl standing in front of a LinkedIn reader looking to make my mark on the world.
