ara Ansley is the founder of Wanderwell Entertainment & Co-Owner of the iconic horror & sci-fi brands FANGORIA, STARLOG, and GOREZONE. Tara is proud to be the first female owner in the brands 42+ year history.
FANGORIA STUDIOS mission is to celebrate genre filmmaking by providing a platform for stories with deep roots in culture, folklore, legends and the macabre on the international stage. Horror is truly global and has cross-demographic appeal. Fear is universal. When it comes to horror, everyone screams in the same language. FANGORIA Studios was launched in January 2021. Projects include Malaysian creature feature SITORA, MEDUSA helmed by Anna Chazelle, and many projects currently set with major studios & steamers.
Ansley is a former production coordinator turned producer. Projects include ; Tragedy Girls (Hulu), St. Agatha (Netflix), Summer Night (Netflix), Beast Beast (executive-produced by Alec Baldwin + took the top prize at U.S. in Progress Paris + 2019 IFP Narrative Lab + Premiered At Sundance 2020 + Festival Favorite SXSW 2020), Rollers, and My Dead Dad (HBO Max) Executive Produced By Declan Baldwin of Big Indie (Manchester By The Sea, Captain Fantastic). Volunteer & philanthropy work includes Sundance Institute, Safety For Sarah Campaign, and other nonprofit activities the majority surrounding female education and equality. Tara has taught film on the Pine Ridge Reservation and is an advocate for film education & experience. Featured on Forbes.com, Mashable, Filmmaker Magazine, Bustle, and in various motion picture outlets. She is a Sundance Film Festival Alumni & a former SXSW Filmmaker in residence. Proud member of the PGA.
Wanderwell produces in the narrative & non fiction feature space, narrative television, production consulting, and commercial support for brands, company spots, EPK, Gallery, and various creative work surrounding traditional TV & Film.
