Toby is a journalist and storyteller with content writing and marketing experience. Recently, she graduated from Harvard Divinity School, where she earned a master’s degree in religion and culture, focusing on eco-theologies, the spiritual implications of climate change, and how communities’ cultural and spiritual understandings of landscapes impact conservation efforts.
As a journalist, her work can be found in National Geographic, The Diplomat, Summerhouse DC, and The Central Virginian newspaper. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Jordan and Kyrgyzstan, an alumna of the Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship, and a UVa graduate (2013).
