Tony Rems brings over 30 years of experience working in Silicon Valley with large enterprise clients on their digital initiatives from e-commerce and content management to digital and enterprise architecture strategy.
At Hero Digital, Tony works with clients such as Nordstrom, Gap, Cisco, Sephora, Salesforce, Technicolor and many others to develop digital strategies and implement complex solutions around e-commerce and CMS. Tony believes strongly in bringing the best talent and quality teams together to deliver on his clients’ goals.
Tony has 23 years of technology experience. Prior to Hero, Tony was one of the founders and principals of ThoughtMatrix, where he worked with clients such as Cisco, GE, Bank of the West, The Gap, McAfee, Verizon and many others on strategy, architecture, platform selection and implementing their technology initiatives. Prior to founding ThoughtMatrix, Tony was the CTO of SBI Razorfish, a $100M/yr IT Professional Services firm, and a Managing Partner at the former marchFirst, an Internet professional services firm, where he managed a technology group over 240 consultants. He has also held a range of positions at Unisoft Corporation, Amdahl, Sybase, Oracle. He was a Managing Architect for USWeb/CKS, launching large, integrated web initiatives for Walgreen’s, IBM, GM, Logitech, Toyota Europe, Sun and other clients.
Tony has focused on best practices surrounding Enterprise Architecture, the design of highly scalable systems in complex legacy environments with high performance and security requirements. In addition, he is an industry expert in Java based eCommerce and applications servers and has written and published work in these areas. Tony graduated form U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science.
