When it comes to marketing I often think; ‘How can this be better’, and ‘How can it be done differently’. Consumer logic and how rational (or irrational) it can be is really important for me to understand how to approach these two questions in the best way.
I apply this logic in the product marketing I do each day, and apply the same principles when it comes to my leadership skills. Understanding my team and colleagues is as important as understanding my consumers to work efficiently.
I have launched new products at international fairs and developed content which has lead to consistent business growth. Following this strategy has enabled me to support businesses to grow year-on-year, whilst their competitors have struggled to keep up with the changing markets.
Outside of the office I’m an active sportsman, regularly training for triathlons in the UK and abroad. I’ve always been an sportsman and team player since school, where I competed in rugby and cricket before focusing on rowing at university.
I’m also a keen photographer, taking my camera with me on my travels abroad and photographing scenes closer to home. I have a small photography business which enables me to focus on this hobby, and gives me access to an international market. This hobby has enabled me to build up my Adobe Photoshop skills.
To be the best at my role, I develop the necessary skills to ensure that I can carry out my role effectively and efficiently. This includes constantly learning and developing on the job, plus personal development outside of the working environment. I have studied Copywriting and Social Media Marketing through The College of Media & Publishing to give me an extra edge when it comes to completing my work effectively.
