I specialize in problem solving by using data analysis, developing research skills, and studying the technical theory of the subject matter I work on.
As a a Summa Cum Laude Honors Alumni of UF, I have always prided myself in focusing on improving my ability to learn. I have taken this education-first drive I have straight to the classroom, where I help students work through Financial Accounting 2 materials to prepare for their CPA licensure. Ultimately, I have understood that learning is a life-long process and that teaching is the best way to expand on my knowledge. As a result, I attempt to teach whatever I can in my quest for greater understanding.
My passion for learning has driven me to a Tax Internship with KPMG in Corporate Taxation. As part of the firm, I have developed rigorous work papers that scrape and reformat dirty data, streamlined fixed asset reporting, evaluated discrepancies in client data, and learned advanced Excel operations for data analysis. This opportunity has been impactful to the development of my problem solving skills and has taught me there is always so much out there to learn and develop,
This passion I have for education and learning guided me to take on leadership roles like being the Secretary of Beta Alpha Psi, Upsilon. Growing up in a family of educators, I was taught that education pushes people to be their best, aspire for greatness, and creates a love for the community you are a part of. This is why I TA for weed-out accounting courses, host professional development workshops with BAP, tutor mathematics, and devote my time to researching and writing theses on under-explored topics such as the practical utility of a robust historical-costing accounting system.
