Als Sales Engineer verhelfe ich Unternehmen zu drei Dingen: mehr Umsatz, geringere Kosten und reduziertes Risiko. Das schaffe ich nicht durch Muskelkraft, sondern durch B2B Software, bereitgestellt als Service, in der Cloud. Kurz: SaaS.
Technologie faszinierte mich schon als Kind. Ich habe es Zelda auf dem Super Nintendo zu verdanken, dass ich heute Diplom-Ingenieur bin. Und dann? Im Job folgte das Geld und ich fing an, mich mit Finanzen zu beschäftigen. Damit entwickelte ich mein wirtschaftliches Denken.

Wie gehe ich dabei vor? In Software Demos werfe ich nicht mit Features und Funktionen um mich. Day-In-The-Life Demos oder die beliebte Hafenrundfahrt - nein, das gibt es bei mir nicht!
Natürlich bin ich als Techie verliebt in meine Lösung. Doch das ist meinen Kunden egal. Ich nehme mich also bewusst zurück, stelle Fragen und höre zu. So identifiziere ich gemeinsam mit meinen Kunden das Problem.
Erst dann ist es an der Zeit, aktiv zu werden. Alle Informationen laufen zusammen und ermöglichen mir in der Vorbereitung individuell auf meinen Kunden einzugehen. Beim Erarbeiten einer Lösung sind mir zwei Dinge wichtig: Wirtschaftlichkeit und Nachhaltigkeit.
