I am a creator who believes in the power of giving - whether it be guidance, positive energy, B2B sales advice or my stem cells in order for Sharicka T. to beat Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Spoiler alert, Sharicka is now in her 15th year of remission and she’s like my 2nd sister).
The simple yet powerful act of giving has helped me get to where I am today. If I had to drill down my inspiration to a single phrase for this summary, it would be ‘to give’.
Whenever an appeared setback occurs in my life, I view it as a major giving opportunity. After a recent setback during the pandemic, I came up with the idea to sponsor 5 college students to attend AfroTech World - one of the largest multicultural tech conferences in the US. I posted the idea on LinkedIn and Twitter. When it was all said and done, my goal exponentially grew almost 10x! With the help of a fellow entrepreneur I’ve partnered on deals with at Salesforce (Joe Gaska - CEO of GRAX), we helped 46 college students attend on us!
Shanice S., who’s studying Game Design at CUNY City Tech got 3 interviews and an offer! Noah L. at the University of Washington (Software Engineering student) informed me that he has made it to two final round interviews! I was so PUMPED for this!
Update: I just received a message from one more student who just landed a job at Google as a Program Manager!
Providing value, inspiration and helping people discover their greatness is what I do best.
Let's connect!
