Are you looking to foster continuous learning, innovation, and high performance?
That's what I help organizations achieve — as a speaker, author, facilitator, and program provider. My journey began in 2007 when I teamed up with Stanford Professor Carol Dweck. Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of organizations in fostering continuous improvement and innovation through the development of growth mindset cultures.
A growth mindset —the belief that we can change and improve— is necessary but not sufficient. We must also understand 𝘩𝘰𝘸 to grow, and establish habits and systems for learning and performance. Chronic performance, a common trap, leads to stagnation and burnout. While the Performance Zone is how we get things done, the Learning Zone is how we improve. Combining a growth mindset with these two zones leads to innovation, growth, and impact. My TED Talk offers insights on how to achieve this. For a deeper dive, check out my book, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘹. The entire first chapter is freely available at performanceparadox.com.
I have been a featured speaker at hundreds of organizations, many of them global brand names. My two TEDx/TED Talks have reached over 9 million people. In 2023, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘹 was selected as a Must-Read by the Next Big Idea Club (curated by Susan Cain, Malcolm Gladwell, Adam Grant, and Daniel Pink) and I was shortlisted by Thinkers50 (described by the Financial Times as the "Oscars of management thinking") for the Breakthrough Idea Award, given to thinkers who “have ignited Eureka moments in management, offering radical ideas that have the potential to reshape the future of business as we know it.” I’m honored to be a Pahara-Aspen Fellow, a member of the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network, and an inductee in the Happiness Hall of Fame.
Prior to my work on growth mindset, I was a Principal at Credit Suisse's venture capital arm, as part of the technology and healthcare investment teams, during which I also served on several for-profit and nonprofit boards.
Using a blend of research-based insights, strategies, stories, and interactivity, I speak at companies and conferences on how to:
◆ Develop a growth mindset and effective learning strategies
◆ Cultivate environments and systems that promote learning and high performance
◆ Foster curiosity, inclusion, and collaboration within diverse organizations
◆ Drive engagement, continuous improvement, and innovation
