I studied Economics and Psychology at Claremont McKenna College, focusing on how people and institutions make decisions. I am obsessed with the details of the “how” and the “why” behind decisions and actions and how to leverage these elements into improvement-oriented insights.
I was a professional cyclist. For 14 years, I relentlessly chased the upper limits of my own ability and performance while exploring the world. I spent the last six years racing at the UCI Continental level. I competed against world champions, Olympians, and winners of some of the biggest races in the world. For 2020 and 2021, I documented my racing exploits (or lack thereof) for PezCyclingnews.com, one of the premier online cycling news and culture outlets (https://pezcyclingnews.com/author/jason-s/).
