Ray Smith is a product passionate business growth leader with a track record of building businesses, teams and products that innovate, disrupt and drive product-led growth - from start-ups with 300% YoY growth and the first $5M ARR, all the way to billion-dollar scale businesses with 30-40% YoY growth.
Ray is currently VP in Microsoft's Business Applications & Platform Group. He has lead teams in both the CRM, ERP, Supply Chain and the Sustainability domains - leading product and growth strategies, execution, M&A and working closely with GTM partners to scale or drive disruptive growth.
Ray joined Microsoft in 2019, as a General Manager to lead on D365 Sales (CRM) coming from a startup background and a business that was acquired by SAP. He led Product for SAP Sales Cloud post acquisition as SVP & GM.
Ray was co-founder, CEO and Chairman for Datahug - an AI-driven Revenue Operations solution integrated with market leading CRMs. The company was VC backed (DFJ & Salesforce Ventures) and was ultimately acquired by SAP.
Ray previously worked for Accenture for over 6 years, implementing large scale IT projects around the globe.
Ray placed top of his class in his Electronic & Electrical Engineering degree and went on to complete a research based Masters of Engineering Science in Advanced Digital Signal Processing (Neuroscience Engineering - UCD, Trinity, MIT ML)
