Richard is a recognized technology leader who is passionate about building and growing businesses, with exceptional results. He has successfully developed and executed strategies that have driven the rapid growth of companies including Salesforce, SuccessFactors and Zuora. During his career, he has held senior positions in General Management, Sales and Business Development. Over the past 10 years, he has been integral in building Zuora from $3M to $300M. Most recently he ran North America and APAC, a $200M ARR business across 5 second-line managers. He is passionate about developing sales leaders, helping them to instill process and discipline into their business to drive execution and scale. Richard's leadership attributes include his ability to envision and plan for the future of a sales organization while delivering on organizational objectives. He has experience taking startups through IPO, and scaling to $300M+ revenue streams, including both Salesforce and Zuora.

Richard graduated as a Civil Engineer from the University of California at Davis and has an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He was born in South Africa, is an Irish Citizen, and has lived around the world. He is a rugby fanatic and played for the United States Rugby team while in college. He lives in Burlingame, Ca with his wife, two daughters, and son. On the weekends when not watching his kids play sports, he can be found surfing San Francisco's Ocean Beach.
