Hey, I’m Katelyn Bourgoin. I'm a marketer by trade and a 4X founder by choice. My specialty is helping growth-hungry teams figure out what triggers customers to buy so they can market smarter.
I've been called an "influential entrepreneur" by Forbes and named as one of the "top 20 wonder women of SaaS marketing and growth." I’ve run my own branding agency—reeling in clients like Target and Holiday Inn—built and sold a restaurant consulting business in under 2 years, and founded a VC-backed tech company that Inc. Magazine once called “the next LinkedIn” (spoiler: that last one didn’t quiiiiiiite go as planned).
Over the years, I’ve been featured in Forbes, Inc., USA Today, HuffPost, CBC, CTV, Bustle, and more. That's my professional highlight reel... but what does any of it really mean? And why should you give a damn?
Well, it means that I've been in the game long enough—and made enough mistakes along the way—that I know some stuff. I founded Customer Camp because I was sick and tired of watching smart people struggle. We help teams to focus on what matters most, yet is often neglected: deeply understanding their customers.

The long but brief story:
Great at academics and great at sports but found my passion in growth marketing.
Spent countless hours taking courses online and tested out those skills at 10 companies, in different industry verticals. I took a sabbatical of 6 months to get ridiculously good at marketing. Unsurprisingly, I have a major in marketing and a degree in business.
Short term goal is to be great at growth marketing. Long term goal is to start something of my own and put these kickass marketing skills to use.
Outside of marketing (if that ever happens), I take active interest in animal welfare, tech startups, and Karate. My mom thinks I should get a hobby other than marketing and she's absolutely right.
I’ve spent ten years producing content, managing communications, and building brands for arts and tech startups and scale-ups.
Whether it’s to prepare filmmakers for film festivals or help resellers grow their business in electric vehicle charging, there’s one common narrative in my work: providing information that’s personable, yet universally impactful.
At EVBox, I doubled the company’s reach and engagement across its social media, blog, and email for consecutive years. I streamlined its design and communication touch points and processes to improve its customer experience. And I (re)positioned the company and its products through branding and campaigns. EVBox is recognized as one of the leading brands in its industry today.
I was born in the land of pandas, raised in the country of cheese, and educated in the city that never sleeps. You may have never thought of film and mobility in the same sentence before you found me.
